The Indonesian Migrant Workers League (LiPMI) held an iftar event with the theme of prayer and struggle in a blessed Ramadan at the Soccer Field, Victoria Park, Sunday (12/5/2019).
The iftar, which was attended by more than one hundred participants, started at noon and was filled with art performances by representatives of the 12 organizations that are members. In addition to art performances, there was also a session of reading the holy verses of the Koran together.
LiPMI, which also presented Ustad Muhammad Mundir as a spiritual provider, stated that praying for changes for the better for migrant workers is an obligation, while actually fighting in the field is also a must. For Allah will not change the fate of a people, unless the people themselves change their fate.
