To establish a relationship as well as a moment to share with others, Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong (DDHK) held an iftar together at Victoria Park, Sunday (19/05/2019).
The event with the theme “don’t be afraid to share” was attended by hundreds of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) who are members of 40 organizations as well as non-organizations.
Ustad Riendi Putra Yustika, as the giver of spiritual showers, in his tausiah told the participants that part of his human wealth was to be given to charity.
“It turns out that God did not ask for all of our wealth, but only part of our wealth,” said Riendi’s cleric, Dai Ambassador DDHK, Sunday (19/05/2019).
According to DDHK, breaking the fast together is very important to be held in the month of Ramadan because it can bond ukuwah, increase enthusiasm in carrying out worship during the month of fasting and foster a spirit of togetherness.
“This event is very important to be held, because it can bond ukuwah and also inflame the spirit of worship in this fasting month, as well as the spirit of togetherness that we build,” said Imam Baihaqi, General Manager of Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong, Sunday (19/05/2019).
The DDHK activity was not only filled with spiritual showers, but was also enlivened by chanting of salawat and tambourine from various Muslim organizations in Hong Kong. In addition to Hong Kong, DDHK also held an iftar event in Macau and visited shelters, prisons and nursing homes to share and distribute the funds they received from the people.
