As an event to hone talent for Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) in Hong Kong, Sandra Love held an exhibition competition for recycled clothing at Victoria Park, Causeway Bay, Sunday (31/3)2019.

According to Sandra, the competition to design and showcase clothes made from recycled materials is a challenge to test their creativity to utilize used materials that are no longer used in PMI’s daily life, namely; paper, wrap instant noodles, wrap coffee and others.

“Recycling requires creativity to make it, and this competition is very rarely held,” said Sandra as the event organizer to Migran Pos, Monday (1/04/2019).

One of the participants who enlivened the event, used red angpao (leisi fung) as a recycled clothing material. “My clothes are made from leisi fung, I want to show that leisi fung can be used, if our hands are creative, the results are also good,” said Anita, Tuesday (2/04/2019).In the competition, the winners were Kesi for 1st place, Putri Pandora 2nd place, Vita 3rd place, and Nasja and Bening as winners respectively, 1st and 2nd hopes She for the best recycling category was won by Ayuni.

In addition to the recycling fashion competition, the Sandra Love event was also enlivened by a free karaoke competition, a traditional dance competition and a casual jeans fashion show .
