Armed with a guitar and kecrek, the Guitar Team of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Association in Hong Kong (ATKI HK) played for 1 hour around Victoria Park to raise funds for Maria, Wiguna and Bethune Shelter, Sunday (12/5/2019).
“The results of our 1 hour singing today, HK$ 3975, will be divided into 3 for Wiguna, Maria and Bethune Shelter,” said Sailo as the activity coordinator to Migran Pos, Sunday (12/5/2019).

Furthermore, Sailo said that the singing activity he did with his friends was also a series of fundraising activities carried out by the Indonesian Migrant Workers Network (JBMI).
Wiguna is one of the Indonesian Bangkit volunteers who had an accident and needed funds for the operation to re-install his skull. According to Sailo, the funds for Wiguna will be channeled through Indonesia Bangkit Hong Kong to Indonesia Bangkit Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Maria (31 years old) is a PMI from Lampung who works in Singapore and has become blind due to Stevens Johnson Syndrome or has serious abnormalities in the skin, as well as the lining of the eyeballs, in the mouth, and several other limbs due to the body’s reaction to drugs or infections. Maria, the widow of one child, who is currently being treated at her home needs funds for 3 operations for cleaning her eyes, removing plastic and membranes, and transplanting her eyeballs so she can see normally again.
Sailo said that previously the JBMI network in Singapore, Indonesian Family Networking (IFN) had raised funds for Maria and handed it over to her family through KABAR BUMI. JBMI Hong Kong will also carry out fundraising on an ongoing basis as a sense of solidarity with fellow PMIs.
