Located at the Lower White Tent, Victoria Park, the Association of Indonesian Muslim Migrants in Hong Kong (GAMMI HK) and the Indonesian Migrant Workers League (LiPMI) held a progressive Muslim boarding school (PMP) activity, Sunday (19/05/2019).

According to Romlah Rosidah, head of GAMMI as well as coordinator of event organizers, PMP was held with the aim of strengthening and encouraging struggle in carrying out worship.

“The purpose of holding this event is to strengthen each other, encourage and fight in worship,” said Rosidah to Migran Pos, Sunday (19/05/2019).

The event, which started at 1 pm until the end of the iftar time, was attended by more than a hundred members of organizations belonging to GAMMI HK and LiPMI, as well as migrant workers who were around the venue.

The event, which was held in the midst of hot weather, was filled with Qur’an Khotmil, progressive art performances, zakat fitrah collection, zakat mall and iftar together, as well as a seven-minute lecture (kultum) about the meaning of the month of Ramadan delivered by Romlah Rosidah.
