Thousands of Prospective Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) in various regions have registered to work in South Korea through the government to government (G to G) program through the online system of the National Agency for Placement and Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (BNP2TKI).

Reported by the official website of BNP2TKI, the number of registrations in 2019 reached 24,952 people and all of them had to follow the predetermined exam and selection stages.

In 2019, Indonesia received an increase in the quota for migrant worker vacancies by 8,800 people, an increase of 25.71% from the previous year. With details, the migrant workers will be employed in the manufacturing sector as many as 4,900 people and in the fisheries sector as many as 3,900 people.

According to BNP2TKI, PMI salaries in South Korea also increased compared to the previous year, which was 1,745,150 Won/month or equivalent to Rp. 21,639,860, – every month with an exchange rate calculation of 1 Won = Rp. 12.4. The Main Secretary of BNP2TKI, Tatang Budi Utama Razak, to PMI candidates who have registered and taken the exam, advised them to take advantage and not to waste the opportunity.
