For Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) who work in Hong Kong and have plans to return to their hometown, try to fill out the modern version of the alert card or electronic Health Alert Card (eHAC) yourself, so as not to be deceived by irresponsible people or middlemen who usually hang out. at Hong Kong International airport, Saturday (3/10/2020).

After PMI confirms the commercial flight crew, shortly before joining the flight by registering directly with the airline officer, or better known as Check-in, the officer will ask prospective passengers to show the eHAC Indonesia barcode.

The EHAC can be downloaded on the Play Store for Android phone users and the Apple Store for iPhone cellphone holders. EHAC is also mandatory for visitors who will travel from abroad and domestically by sea and air.

Here’s how to fill out the eHAC Alert Card via the phone app:

  1. The first step is to fill out the eHAC using an application on a cellphone, by downloading the “EHAC Indonesia” application on the Google Play Store or Apple Store, and preparing the passport because it will be needed to fill in the data on eHAC Indonesia.
  2. After downloading, do the application settings including selecting the available language options for Indonesian and English, then registering a new user or user by filling in the email address and password, then setting the device location.
  3. After completing the initial settings, the eHAC main page will appear. To create an e-HAC Electronic Health Alert Card, select the “visitor” or “visitor” button.
  4. Next, a choice of several buttons will appear, namely: Profile Data which functions to enter the profile page, Panic to be pressed during an emergency and need medical assistance. Meanwhile, PMI who will travel to Indonesia need to choose HAC to fill out the Health Alert Card.
  5. After selecting the HAC button, 2 options will appear, namely: Indonesian HAC to make an e-HAC card when visiting Indonesia from abroad, Indonesian Domestic HAC to make an eHAC card when traveling between cities in Indonesia.
  6. Fill in your personal data on the registration form that appears including your name, age, gender, country, passport number, destination, estimated time of arrival, vehicle, and so on. If so, click “Next”.
  7. Fill in the registration form regarding the location of origin and when finished click next.
  8. Fill in the form regarding the health problem experienced by marking the check box that corresponds to the symptoms felt, and leave it blank if there are no symptoms. Next click Submit
  9. You will be taken back to the HAC page, where the newly created E-HAC Health Alert Card will appear, in the form of a barcode which will be addressed to departure and arrival airport officers. For PMI who don’t want to have trouble accessing the HAC barcode, PMI can take several photos or screenshots to make it easier to show it to the officer at the checkpoint.

That’s the guide to getting an eHAC which will be useful for PMI’s journey back to the country, and there is no need to fill it out manually or in writing when you arrive at the destination airport in various parts of Indonesia.
