As of Thursday (10/9/2020), the Indonesian government stated that the transmission of the corona virus was still increasing and the number of new cases was still high. The total number of cases now stands at 207,203.

In connection with the pandemic and the high rate of spread of Covid-19, at least 59 countries in the world have banned Indonesian citizens from entering their country.
One of the countries that restricts visits from Indonesia to their country is Malaysia. The ban was formally conveyed by the Malaysian Defense Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob on Tuesday, September 1, and is effective from Monday, September 7.
In addition to visits by Indonesian citizens, Malaysia also limits visits from the Philippines and India. The local government assesses that positive cases of Corona in the three countries have increased sharply. Quoted from Tempo Magazine Edition 5 September 2020, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi considers the ban to be the right of the local government.
Retno said the Indonesian government also implemented a similar policy, namely limiting general entry access for foreign nationals in order to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 and urging its citizens not to travel abroad first.
Other countries that restrict visits from Indonesia include Hungary, the United Arab Emirates, and South Africa. Indonesian Ambassador to Hungary Abdurachman Hudiono Dimas Wahab said the ban was relaxed last August on the condition that immigrants perform two PCR tests. However, starting in September, the ban was tightened again.
Other countries that have closed their doors to Indonesian citizens are Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Colombia, Trinidad, Tobago, Papua New Guinea, North Korea, New Zealand, Mongolia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Bhutan, India, Cyprus, Oman, Palestine, Russia, Romania, Republic of Moldova, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia Herzegovina, Ukraine, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, United States of America, Canada, Bahamas, Belize, Norway, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Panama, Sierra Leone, Djibouti, Iran, Ajerbaijan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives,
