Families gathered for the Mid-Autumn Festival to enjoy each other’s company and the delights of traditional classic mooncakes as well as contemporary versions, will be able to enjoy the joy of a bright full moon on October 1, weather permitting.

The Hong Kong Observatory as of today, Thursday (17/9/2020), said a full full moon will occur on September 30 at 5:35 p.m. and again at 6:08 p.m. on October 1. The full moon will also be visible at 5:05 a.m. the following morning.

HKO said, during a full moon, the moon as seen from Earth is illuminated with the moon and the sun is located on the opposite side of the Earth.
